Before we start on the jelly recipe, let’s gather a few jars with lids and keep them ready for our best strawberry jelly. You can use jars of any size, just remember that the recipe is for five cups only.
- Wash and dry four cups of fresh strawberries
- Remove their stems if needed.
- You can use a blender or a food processor.
- Crush a significant amount of strawberries that can yield about 2 cups of fruit.
- If you don’t have a blender, you can cut them into small pieces manually or use a potato masher.
- After crushing strawberries, add the sugar to the fruit to stir well.
- Let them sit for about 10 minutes.

- The 4 cups of granulated sugar will be a good start for a set and balanced sweetness. You don’t need to reduce unless there’s low sugar pectin. Or need about a 1:1 ratio of juice and sugar for a regular pectin.
